Plenty of suspension travel, few excuses!
What the RockShox engineers have devised and moulded in their design centre in Colorado, at the foot of the legendary Pikes Peak, will have adrenaline-driven Enduro riders crying for joy. Stiff 38 mm stanchions, a sturdy chassis and the finest suspension and damping technologies are designed to provide sufficient reserves at all times, even on the toughest Enduro courses, and to enable maximum control for precise lines. So the ZEB in RockShox’s portfolio is right in between the downhill double bridge BoXXer and the 35 mm all-purpose weapon Lyrik.

Even visually, RockShox leaves no doubt that the ZEB Select can withstand a lot. The bulky, CNC-machined aluminium fork crown with its angular appearance fits seamlessly into the design of modern frames with voluminous head tubes. The wide flared bridge also aims to avoid collisions with the head tube during hard shocks. On the other hand, numerous cut-outs help to keep the extra weight down despite the increased stiffness.
Inside, the proven Charger RC damping system is at work with its adjustable low-speed compression and rebound damping. In combination with the DebonAir+™ air suspension, newly developed for the 2023 model year, the ZEB Select acts sensitively and dampens easily in equal measure, while reliably maintaining high suspension travel.

The ZEB has already proven that these features are particularly useful for full-blooded enduro riders on the endless heights and depths of Pikes Peak in the Rocky Mountains. The grand four-thousand-metre peak offers ideal test conditions for this and has already given RockShox’s sister model Pike its name. So it’s no wonder that the ZEB was also named in homage to the unofficial RockShox “home mountain”. It was first mapped in 1806 by the American explorer Zebulon Pike and later named after him – just like the RockShox ZEB.
Zebulon Pike himself, by the way, considered the mountain unconquerable at the time. An assessment that was to last only a few years. And that is exactly what ZEB stands for: Exploring the feasible at the limits of the possible. Or as RockShox puts it: ZEB ain’t dead!
